Music Live 2006 – Performance, Production and Plenty of Gear
Music Live 2006 – the UK’s biggest music-making event – is set to feature a wealth of content both for keen amateur musos and those serious about playing or producing music and carving a career in the recording industry.There will be plenty of business-related advice, with the Musicians’ Union presenting a series of panel-lead seminars on topics including how to build a fanbase, advice on dealing with managers, promoters and the press, using the internet to promote music – and even a Demo Jury where visitors can have their work critiqued. MU panel members already confirmed to appear include Aubrey Nunn (Faithless), Dante Bonutto (Universal Records/Roadrunner Records consultant), Steve Beebee (Kerrang! magazine) and Big George Webley (TV music arranger, credits include The Office).
Exhibitors of interest to the Digital DJ community will including TC Electronic, Korg, Shure, Novation, M-audio, Yamaha, Arbiter, Computer Music, Sound On Sound, Digdesign, Future Music, Roland, Tascam, Studiospares and Apple will be showing the very latest in gear from electric guitars to recording hardware and software, with expert demonstrations running throughout the weekend.
The involvement of Music Live’s retail sponsor Sound Control means the event is also the perfect place to pick up a bargain, with special show deals on offer throughout the event.
